Speech Language Therapy

Students who have Speech Language disabilities in Colorado have access to a range of services for educational, communication, and social support. The rules for the administration of the Exceptional Children's Education Act (ECEA) in Colorado define a child with speech-language disability as having a "communication disorder which prevents the child from receiving reasonable educational benefit from regular education." In the UnBOCES, speech-language assessment and intervention services are provided by a licensed, certified speech therapist.
